On Friday, October 15, 2010, police arrested a man in connection with a prostitution investigation.
It is alleged that:
– during the summer of 2010, the accused befriended a 17-year-old girl at a TTC subway station,
– the accused procured the girl and made her work as a prostitute.
Dane Osbourne, 23, of Markham, has been charged with:
1) Procuring a person to become a prostitute,
2) Live on the avails of prostitution (under 18),
3) Exercise control,
4) Threatening bodily harm.
Police believe there may be more victims.
The accused was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Saturday, October 16, 2010, room 101, at 10 a.m.
