Brad Summers charged with drug possession in St. John’s, NL

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Drug Investigative Unit has made another arrest as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Polina Road in St. John’s, NL. Twenty-nine year old Brad Summers has been arrested and charged as a result of the investigation.

At approximately 8:30 PM on Monday October 18, 2010, the RNC Street Drug Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of Kenmount road and Polina Road in St. John’s. The vehicle stop resulted in the RNC seizing a small quantity of marijuana, a shotgun, ammunition and brass knuckles from the vehicle.

The accused has been charged with a Breach of section 4 (1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act for Possession, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and three breaches of court order. Summers is due to appear in court today.
