The victim, Inocencio Martinez-Solis, 36, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Senior Police Officer J. Johnston reported:
A patrol officer responded to a traffic accident and when he arrived, he heard a gunshot next door at a car wash. The officer immediately drove to the car wash and found Mr. Martinez-Solis lying on the ground, unresponsive. HFD emergency personnel arrived and pronounced Martinez-Solis dead. According to witnesses, a white 2005 to 2008 Nissan Frontier four-door pickup truck drove by the area twice and slowed down at the car wash just before two gunshots were heard.
The suspect driving the Nissan is described only as a Hispanic male, 42 to 45 years of age and a chubby build. At this time, robbery is believed to be the motive for the shooting.
