Alberta man Michael Martins faces two counts in relation to George Fawell’s homicide investigation

On Friday, August 24, 2012, at 10:45 a.m., police responded to a radio call for a possible sudden death near 870 Queen Street East, at Jimmie Simpson park.

Police attended the area and located a deceased man behind Jimmie Simpson arena, near a set of railway tracks.

The victim had been identified as George Fawell, 24, of Toronto.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2014, Michael Martins, 52, of Alberta, was arrested for the following charges and returned to Toronto:

1) Aggravated Assault
2) Forcible Confinement

He appeared in court at College Park on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.
