On Sunday, July 6, 2014, at approximately 1:50 a.m., police were called to a shooting in the Dundas Street East/George Street area.
It is alleged that:
– a 36-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were in the area
– a third man approached and shot both men with a handgun
The 36-year-old was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Rala Federick, of Toronto.
On Thursday, July 17, 2014, police arrested Shaqwan Kawano, 19, and Alton Grant, 19, both of Toronto.
Both men are charged with the following:
1) First-Degree Murder
Both men are scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Friday, July 18, 2014, 10 a.m.
