Five men charged with home invasions in the City of Vaughan

On Wednesday, October 27, 2010, after an extensive investigation, members of the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit arrested five suspects in relation to two home invasion robberies and numerous residential break and enters.

The suspects were wanted in connection with two separate home invasion robberies. The robberies occurred in the same residence, involving the same victim, who was assaulted and forcibly confined. The robberies occurred on May 14, 2010 and July 30, 2010, in the City of Vaughan.

During the investigation into the robberies, the suspects were found to be responsible for thirteen different break and enters throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The incidents took place between April 2010 and October 2010. The suspects would attend a residence where they would knock on the front door to see if anyone was home. The suspects would then cut the phone lines and force their way into the residences, where money, jewellery and electronics were stolen.

York Regional Police executed warrants at the residences of the five suspects. Investigators recovered a quantity of property including a .22 calibre handgun, replica firearms, jewellery, money and drugs.
