The Neguac RCMP is investigating a single vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man on August 27, 2014.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., the 19-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle on L. Allain Road in Neguac and it rolled several times. The driver, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital and later died from his injuries. A 16-year-old boy passenger was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Speed is believed to have been a factor in cause of the crash. The investigation is continuing with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.

The name of the deceased victim is not being released at this time.
