Shayne Pell charged with fraud in Hamilton, Ontario

Hamilton Police have arrested and charged a Hamilton man alleged to be involved in fraudulent activity in the Kirkendall and Strathcona neighbourhoods.

On Wednesday, October 27th, 2010, Hamilton Police arrested a man alleged to have been committing frauds in the Strathcona and Kirkendall neighbourhoods since late August 2010. The man had been victimizing residents by going door to door and fabricating stories of being in distress and needing money. On some occasions, the man gained entry into the homes.

Charged with two counts of Fraud Under $5,000 and Unlawfully in a Dwelling is Shayne PELL, 38 yrs. of Hamilton.

Hamilton Police continue to investigate and believe there may be more victims that have not reported the crime to police.
