Five people arrested in a drug bust in Sudbury, Ontario

At 7:00 this morning Greater Sudbury Police uniform officers responded to a disturbance on St George Street in the city. While investigating the incident officers located over 3 pounds of Marijuana and a quantity of Psilocybin, more commonly called “Magic Mushrooms”.

As a result 4 males and 1 female, all in their late teens were charged with two counts each of Possession of a Controlled Substance. In addition one of the males was on a recognizance of bail and probation and has been charged with Breach of Recognizance and Breach of Probation. He was held for bail court; the other 4 accused persons were released to attend court at a later date.

The total value of the drugs seized is approximately $16,500.00.
