Peel police search for wanted Brampton man Che’don Jackson in a murder investigation

Che’don JacksonInvestigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are currently investigating the Region’s fourth homicide of 2014. 

On Sunday, September 7, 2014, at approximately 6:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of 85 Charolais Boulevard, Brampton, for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police located the victim suffering from gunshot injuries.  He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

The victim has been identified as Mohan Dori, a 21 year-old Brampton resident. Homicide investigators are interested in his movements prior to the shooting, and would like to speak with anyone who had contact with him in the hours preceding his death.

Che’don Jackson, 22 years old, of Brampton, is believed to be responsible for the shooting. Jackson is described as male black, 5’10” tall, 190 pounds, with a heavy build. He has black hair, with a shaved head, and brown eyes. He was observed leaving the scene in the passenger seat of a newer model dark coloured 4 door sedan.  Investigators are urging any other occupants of the vehicle to contact them. Police are advising Jackson should be considered armed and dangerous. If you should see Jackson police are asking that you do not approach him, but instead, call 911.

Homicide investigators are urging Jackson to seek representation and turn himself in. 

Update: The suspect wanted in relation to the Region’s fourth homicide of 2014 has turned himself in to police.

The suspect, Che’don Jackson, 22 years old, of Brampton, turned himself in to Peel Regional Police at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He is facing a charge of Second Degree Murder and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton, on Thursday, September 11, 2014, for a Bail Hearing.
