Toronto man Robert Shah charged in connection to sexual assault investigation

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at approximately 5:45 a.m., a man approached a 52-year-old woman in the Yonge Street and Davisville Avenue area

– the man assaulted the woman

– the woman screamed for help and the man fled

It is further alleged that:

– on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at approximately 5:50 a.m., a man approached a 32-year-old woman from behind in theYonge Street and Davisville Avenue area

– the same man threw the woman to the ground and began to assault her

– the man took her personal property and sexually assaulted her

– the man then fled

It is further alleged that:

– on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at approximately 6:45 a.m., a man approached a 46 year-old woman from behind in theYonge Street and Davisville Avenue area

– the same man grabbed the woman and forced her into a building lobby, then the elevator

– the man took her personal property and assaulted her

– the woman was able to flee

Robert Shah, 33, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Sexual Assault 
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Two counts of Robbery
4) Two counts of Assault

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, October 23, 2014.

Police believe there may be more victims.
