Investigators in the Vice Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have located the car of 71-year-old James Cuthbert who has been missing for 12 days.

As part of the on-going investigation in relation to this missing person file, investigators located Mr. Cuthbert’s four-door white Toyota Prius in North Sydney, Cape Breton yesterday afternoon. They also believe that Mr. Cuthbert boarded a ferry to Port aux Basque, Newfoundland on October 26 for the 11:45 p.m. crossing. They have yet to locate Mr. Cuthbert and the investigation into his whereabouts continues.

Mr. Cuthbert was last seen by family at his home in the area of Highway 7 on the morning of Sunday, October 26. Investigators determined that the same day he attended the Esso service station on Cole Harbour Road shortly after noon hour, the Canadian Tire store in Dartmouth Crossing around 12:30 p.m. and the parking lot of Home Depot in Dartmouth Crossing between 1 and 1:30 p.m.

He is described as white, 6′, 170 lbs., slightly balding with brown hair and a grey beard, hazel eyes, rimless glasses and a neat appearance; a photo of Mr. Cuthbert is included with this posting.
