The Calgary Police Service is currently at the scene of a suspicious death.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., this morning, Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, police were called to the 5300 block of 5 Avenue S.E. for reports of a man found lying on a sidewalk suffering from stab wounds.
A man in his 30s was transported to hospital in serious life-threatening condition. He succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The Homicide Unit has been called out to investigate and further details will be provided as they become available.
