The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
– on Friday, November 7, 2014, a woman attended the Deepam Puja Centre on 430 Passmore Avenue
– the owner/operator offered her meditation and counselling services
– during the service, he sexually assaulted her
On Wednesday, December 17, 2014, Ramsankar “Gopal” Singh, 59, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) Sexual Exploitation
2) Sexual Assault
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Thursday, December 18, 2014, courtroom 412.
Police believe there may be other victims.
