Victoria County RCMP have determined that no charges will be laid in the July 2014 bus crash that resulted in the death of a passenger.

On July 13th, 2014 at approximately 2:25 p.m., RCMP responded to a report of a buscrash that occurred on The Cabot Trail, three kilometres south of Neils Harbour.

As a result of an extensive investigation and a motor vehicle inspection performed by the Motor Carrier Division of Nova Scotia Transportation and Infrastructure and Renewal in July 2014, Victoria County RCMP determined that the driver of the bus fell asleep. The bus company and the passengers on the bus have been updated on the outcome.
