Ottawa man Abdifatah Aden charged with bank robbery

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in connection to a downtown bank robbery. 

On February 3, 2015, at approximately 2:35 pm, a lone male entered a bank situated along the 1-100 block of Rideau St. The suspect passed a note making a demand for money then fled the bank with an undisclosed quantity of cash. The suspect was quickly located in the vicinity by responding patrol officers and arrested without incident. There were no injuries. 

Abdifatah ADEN, age 33, of Ottawa, is charged with single counts of robbery and breach of probation.  He will appear in court on February 4, 2015.
