Thirty-year-old Andrew Charles Baldwin has been arrested in East Vancouver and is facing charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Andrew Charles Baldwin is a US citizen who was wanted Canada-wide for the alleged attempted murder of a 28-year-old woman in an East Vancouver apartment.
Shortly after 10 p.m. last night, police responded to an apartment in the 1500 block of East 6th Avenue after receiving a report that a woman had been stabbed. When police arrived they found a woman who appeared to be suffering from serious stab wounds. She was taken to hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
The person believed to be responsible for the assault had fled the suite prior to the arrival of the police.
The man and woman are known to each other, and she was the target of the attack.
