USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…A 35-year-old former student is facing a weapons charge after a male was seen carrying a weapon in the halls of an Oshawa campus yesterday.
After the suspect was arrested, officers remained at the UOIT/Durham College property as they searched for the suspects car and the weapon. The weapon, described as a large, hand-held submachine gun with an orange tip, was not recovered. Investigators believe it was an imitation weapon and that the suspect used public transportation to get to the campus.
Brian AKIBO-BETTS, age 35, of Woodgate Court in Oshawa, is charged with: Possession of Weapons Dangerous. He was held for a bail hearing.
