A female hotel clerk was accosted by two disguised suspects, one armed with a knife and robbed of cash on Friday night in Whitby.

On Friday December 17, 2010 at approximately 7:25 p.m. two disguised male suspects, one armed with a knife, approached the front desk clerk at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Whitby on Consumers Drive and demanded cash. The victim was threatened with the weapon but was not physically injured. The suspects fled on foot in an easterly direction with a quantity of cash.

DRPS helicopter Air1 assisted along with a K-9 unit in their search for both suspects. The search results were negative. The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing for information leading to the identities of both males.

Suspect #1 is described as: male, black, 6’, thin build, 18-20 years, wearing dark clothing including a facial disguise and armed with a knife.

Suspect #2 is described as: male, black, 5’9”, with a medium build, 18-20 years and wearing dark coloured clothing.
