Mississauga – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested a male suspect in relation to an attempt murder investigation that occurred in Mississauga. 

On Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a male suspect who had fired several shots at a vehicle parked in the area of Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue, Mississauga.  There were two females inside the vehicle at the time, but they were not injured. The suspect then fled the scene. 

Investigators issued an arrest warrant for Steven John NORTHIEM, a 28 year-old Mississauga resident, for Attempt Murder, Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Breach of Recognizance. 

Steven John NORTHIEM, 28 years-old of Mississauga, was arrested at 12:53 this morning in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice today for a bail hearing.  He is facing 13 firearms related charges.
