USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The Toronto Police Service Human Trafficking Enforcement Team has arrested a man in connection with a Human Trafficking investigation.
It is alleged that:
– a 22-year-old woman living in Edmonton was lured to Toronto
– on Friday, July 10, 2015, the woman was provided with a plane ticket and she flew to Toronto, where she was picked up by a man
– the woman was taken to an apartment in North York, where other female escorts were working
– they were given various drugs for free
– male clients arrived at the apartment and the man negotiated the price and the sexual acts to be provided by the women
– the woman was then forced to provide sexual services to the male clients
– the male clients provided all of the money to the man and the women did not receive any money
On Sunday, July 12, 2015, the woman reported these crimes to police. Trung Quoc Nguyen, 33, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:
1) Trafficking in Persons by Recruiting
2) Financial / Material benefit trafficking person over 18
3) Material benefit from sexual services
4) Procuring
5) Advertising another person’s sexual services
He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10 a.m.
Police believe there may be other victims.
