January 3rd, 2011, Digby, Nova Scotia…RCMP have charged a Digby County man with two counts of Attempted Murder.

Shortly before noon on Sunday January 2nd, RCMP responded to a firearm complaint at residence in Freeport, Long Island. Investigation revealed that Thomas Carson Ogden (65 years) of St. Bernard, Digby discharged a firearm during a disturbance inside the residence. No one was injured as a result of the firearm being discharged and Mr. Odgen was arrested at the scene. 

Ogden has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of Breach of Probation, one count of Dangerous Use of Firearm and one count of Possession of Dangerous Possession of a Firearm. Ogden remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Comeauville on January 4th, 2011. The investigation is ongoing by Digby General Investigative Section (GIS) with the assistance of Digby RCMP.
