Moncton MiraclesThe Moncton Miracles came up short to the London Lighting at the Moncton Coliseum with a final score of 98-93. 

At the end of the first quarter the Lightning were up 28-24 with Shawn Daniels pushing through the Miracles defense with 13 points. 

“We worked together as a team and things finally started to come together,” said Head Coach Mike Evans. “There are still a lot of things that we need to improve on but it was good to see the guys compete until the final buzzer.” 

The game remained close all the way through. The Miracles won the second quarter outscoring the Lightning 22-19 while the third quarter was even at 24-24. The fourth quarter went point for point until London pulled ahead late in the quarter. 

Tension was high all the way through with Gabe Freeman and Jazzmarr Ferguson receiving technical fouls as well as head coach Mike Evans. 

Darrell Wonge was the top scorer for the Miracles with 22 points and 8 assists. Shamari Spears led the way for the Lightning with 31 points. 

The Miracles play their next game on the road against the Halifax Rainmen on Sunday, December 4th, 2011. Game time is 2pm at the Halifax Metro Centre.
