The Summerside Storm gave London a run for their money tonight at Credit Union place, but lost a close contest by a score of 107-98. The game was played in front of 1,968 fans.
The Lightning came out fighting in the first, and won the quarter 24-18. However, in the second, The Storm tightened up defense and ran hard on the offence for the rest of the game, leaving each quarter close.
High scorers for Summerside were Mike Williams and Al Stewart both with 18 points. Newcomer Troy Jackson had 9. For London high scorers were Brandon Dean and DeAnthony Bowden both with 18.
The Storm travel tomorrow to Oshawa to take on The Power, Thursday night. They return home to play on the 31st, at 7pm.
