Moncton MiraclesThe Moncton Miracles beat the top ranked London Lightning at the Moncton Coliseum with a final score of 98-91. 

Darrell Wonge came out strong in the first quarter for the Miracles with 13 points, going 4 for 5 from the 3-point line. At the end of the first half Moncton was able to hold on to their lead over the top ranked team, 52-46. 

The game was close throughout the second half of the game with the Lightning tying the score but the Miracles never losing their lead. 

Darrell Wonge was the top scorer for the Miracles with 23 points. Akeem Wright followed with 21 points and 8 rebounds. 

Gabe Freeman led the way for the Lightning with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Eddie Smith was right behind him with 20 points. 

The Miracles announced on Friday that they have released Jazzmarr Ferguson after coming to a mutual agreement between himself and the organization. Ferguson is a 6’1 point guard from Louisville, Kentucky that has been with the Miracles since the beginning of the season. 

The Miracles are currently sitting with a 6-18 record and play their next game at home against the Oshawa Power on Sunday, January 29th, 2012. Game time is 2:00pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
