The Toronto Argonauts Football Club made a six player trade, including two negotiation list players, with the Calgary Stampeders today. The Double Blue acquired import WR P.K. Sam, non-import DL Miguel Robede and the rights to a negotiation list player. In exchange, Toronto sent import WR Reggie McNeal, non-import DL Adrian Davis and the rights to a negotiation list player to the Stamps.

Commented Argonauts GM & Head Coach, Jim Barker, "We believe this is a trade that has the potential to benefit both teams and all of the players involved. PK is a receiver with a lot of promise and athletic ability who gives us versatility with his ability to play split end. Robede brings a full skill set to the table and is a better fit for us at nose guard. We wish Reggie and Adrian well and thank them for their contributions to the Argos. Our vision for our 2011 team becomes clearer following this trade. "

P.K. Sam returns to the Argonauts after one season in Calgary. Sam, who was an Argo from 2008 to 2009, was the lone player swapped in the deal that brought Jeremaine Copeland to Toronto on February 17, 2010. In just 15 games in Double Blue, Sam caught 63 passes for 884 yards and 5 touchdowns and averaged more than 14 yards/catch.

Robede was the first overall pick in the 2005 CFL Canadian Draft. He played three seasons at Laval University, winning two Vanier Cups, after transferring from the University of Miami, where he won an NCAA national title. The four-year CFL veteran played 53 games, making 41 tackles and seven sacks for the Stamps. He also played in three playoff games and won a Grey Cup championship with the Stampeders in 2008.

McNeal joined the Argonauts’ practice roster in October 2007 and then played 28 games and caught 80 passes for 1,090 yards and 5 touchdowns for the club. Davis signed as a free agent with Toronto in February 2008 and dressed in 21 games making two sacks.
