Winnipeg JetsRon Hainsey Activated from Injured Reserve

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have claimed forward Antti Miettinen off waivers. Miettinen was placed on waivers by the Tampa Bay Lightning and will now report to the Jets.

The team also announced that defenseman Ron Hainsey has been active from the Injured Reserve List. 

Miettinen, 31, has played in a career 472 NHL games between the Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild. During that time, the right-winger collected 212 points (89g, 123a) and 232 penalty minutes. He started the 2011-12 season in the KHL with the Kazan Ak-Bars where he appeared in 20 games for eight points (2g, 6a) and eight penalty minutes. 

Miettinen was originally drafted by the Dallas Stars in the seventh round, 224th overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
