The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have re-assigned forward Aaron Gagnon to the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League. The team also announced they have activated Tim Stapleton from the Injured Reserve List.
Gagnon, 26, has played in seven games with the Winnipeg Jets this season. He will return to the IceCaps where he has appeared in 35 games this campaign racking up 20 points (8g, 12a) and eight penalty minutes. The Quesnel, B.C. native has now played in 28 career NHL games between Dallas and Winnipeg earning two assists.
He was originally drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in the eighth round, 240th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
