St. John's IceCapsThe St. John’s IceCaps today announced they have loaned goaltender Peter Mannino and forward Kenndal McArdle to the Portland Pirates in exchange for forward Brock Trotter. 

Trotter, 25, has played in 35 games with the Pirates this season earning 31 points (12G, 19A) and 16 penalty minutes. He started the season with the Hamilton Bulldogs where he collected seven points (2G, 5A) and four penalty minutes in five games. He was traded to Phoenix on Oct. 23/11. 

The Brandon, MB native has played in 212 career AHL games between Hamilton and Portland for 173 career points (71G, 102A) and 112 penalty minutes. He was signed as a free agent by the Montreal Canadiens in 2008. Trotter has appeared in two NHL games, both for the Canadiens, in the 2009-10 season.
