Toronto MarliesThe Binghamton Senators, AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 4-2 tonight from the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Stephane Da Costa opened the scoring at 18:07 of the first period. Toronto would respond when Spencer Abbott tipped in a Mike Mottau shot on the powerplay at 5:43 of the middle frame. Binghamton took a 2-1 lead heading into the third period on Mike Zibanejad’s second goal of the season. Mike Hoffman gave the Senators a two goal lead at 4:25 of the final frame. Toronto would cut the lead to one on Dylan Yeo’s first goal as a member of the Marlies at 19:17. Derek Grant added an empty net goal to secure the win for Binghamton.

The Marlies return to the ice tomorrow when they take on the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at Copps Coliseum. Toronto returns home on January 26 when they host the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, at 5 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team’s ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
