The Toronto Marlies were defeated by the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, by a score of 3-2 this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum.

Captain Ryan Hamilton notched his 20^th goal of the season to open the scoring just over one minute into the game. Texas would equalize later in the period when Alex Chiasson tallied his 12^th goal of the year. The Stars would take their first lead of the game when forward Justin Dowling scored at 17:42 of the middle frame. Mike Hedden’s goal at 1:08 of the third period gave Texas a 3-1 lead. Greg McKegg would cut the lead in half on his 6^th goal of the season at 9:02 of the final frame. Despite late pressure, the Marlies were unable to tie the game.
