Day five proves to be an incredible day at the All England Club. Both Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer were tested by impressive opponents in their respective matches on Friday, but were able to advance to the fourth round due to their vast experience in Grand Slam tournaments.

Federer needed five sets to defeat Frenchman Julien Benneteau, came back from two sets down to win 4-6,6-7,6-2,7-6,6-1 in a more than three hours. On the other hand, Djokovic overcame a first set loss to eliminate Radek Stepanek from the tournament with 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.

No.17 Spaniard Fernando Verdasco, went down fighting to Xavier Malisse of Belgium in five sets 6-1,6-7,1-6,6-4,3-6.

In the women's bracket, top seed and 2012 French Open champion Maria Sharapova eased into the last 16 with a comfortable 6-1,6-4 victory over Su-Wei Hsieh of Taipei. No.15 Sabine Lisicki won against her American opponent Sloane Stephens with 7-6, 1-6, 6-2. No.3 Agnieszka Radwanska defeated Heather Watson 6-0,6-2. Italian Camila Giorgi knocked out No.20 Nadia Petrova in straight sets 6-3,7-6 to have a clash with Radwanska in fourth round. No.17 Maria Kirilenko and No.30 Peng Shuai also advanced to the next round.

With Nadal out, there are three matches that are worth watching on Saturday. The first is Serena Williams vs. Jie Zheng. Williams looks like going to avenge a first round loss at the French, through defeating Zheng to capture yet another Wimbledon title.

The next two matches are interesting because they flow into each other. No. 10 Mardy Fish and No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are both in action on Saturday, and they are the last two legitimate competitors in Nadal's section.
