The first week of Wimbledon 2012 proves to be the most unpredictable and has created excitement in the fans after major upsets in the beginning rounds. Day 6 has also lived up to the pure excitement at the All England Club.

French No.5 French fifth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, a semi-finalist in 2011, won his match in straight sets against Slovakia's Lukas Lacko with 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the fourth round. He will face Mardy Fish in next round.

Andy Murray also kept his Wimbledon hopes alive with a four-set win over Marcos Baghdatis after dropping the second set with 7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1.

Andy Roddick's run at Wimbledon came to an end at the hands of David Ferrer in a four-set match, 2-6, 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 and 6-3.

Croatian No.16 Marin Cilic reached the last 16 for the second time in spectacular style with a 7-6 (8/6), 6-4, 6-7 (2/7), 6-7 (3/7), 17-15 win over unseeded American Sam Querrey.

Lukas Rosol, who conquered Rafael Nadal couldn’t create any more upset at the Wimbledon, as he fell in straight sets to Philipp Kohlschreiber with a defeat of 6-2, 6-3, 7-6 (8/6).

Qualifier Brian Baker's fairytale return hit a new high when he enjoyed a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 victory over France's Benoit Paire.

Del Potro, the first Japanese man since 1995 to reach the third round, defeated Kei Nishikori 6-3, 7-6 (7/3), 6-1 and will face Ferrer in Quarterfinal.

In women’s bracket, four-time winner Serena Williams survived a major scare before battling into the last 16 at Wimbledon on Saturday against No.25 Chinese Zheng Jie with 6-7 (5/7), 6-2, 9-7.

World No.2 Victoria Azarenka eased through with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Slovak qualifier Jana Cepelova.

The defending champion No. 4 Petra Kvitova took the express route into the second week after her ruthless 53-minute 6-1, 6-0 demolition of America's Varvara Lepchenko.

Kazakh wildcard Shvedova completed the first Golden Set in Grand Slam history and defeated French Open runner-up Sara Errani by securing a 6-0, 6-4 victory.

Ana Ivanovic battled a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win against Germany's Julia Goerges.

Tamira Paszek enjoyed a 2-6, 7-6 (7/4), 7-5 win over Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer while Italian No.21 Roberta Vinci secured a 7-6 (7/4), 7-6 (7/3) win over Croatia's Mirjana Lucic.

Monday will prove to be a favorite day of the tournament as every singles Round of 16 match is scheduled to play on the same day, producing a perfect mixture of superstars, tough matches and players slipping under the radar to the quarters.
