On Thursday August 2, 2012, USA team will be playing against Nigeria. US team is not playing their best basketball; but still the Americans are big and daring as known, dancing through their first two games at the London Olympics with an average of 37 points.
Nigerians are the easy target for USA as they just lost to Lithuania by 72-53. The U.S. jumped to 2-0 with Tuesday's match against Tunisia, while Nigeria beat them by only four points in its opening game. The Americans led by just 13 points after an amazingly close first half, and then strike up 64 points in the second half to turn it into the straightforward victory that was projected.
They eventually turned over to a 110-63 thrashing Nigeria behind with a splendid effort from them. Nigeria dragged off a win against Tunisia on Sunday, although by a much less margin at 60-56.
The Nigerians have experienced players like Al-Farouq Aminu, Ike Diogu and Olumide Oyedeji—who were in NBA teams previously, so the collection of talent helped Nigeria gripe into the London sports ground by way of a qualifying tournament in Venezuela in July, in which they defeated big names like Lithuania and Greece.
The Americans are the top team of the world and with the winning streak that they are having no Nigeria can’t match them at this stage. USA are expected to dominate throughout this game.
