On Tuesday September 11th, 2012 stage 3 will be started in Tour of Britain, as Leigh Howard (Orica-GreenEdge) won stage 2 of the Tour of Britain, out-classed Mark Cavendish (Team Sky) on the stage from Nottingham to Knowsley while Boy Van Poppel (UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team) finished third. Stage 3 has a flat category over a distance of 150km; it starts from Jedburgh to Dumfries
After a long reassign, the third stage makes out the race start over the Scottish Border and into Dumfries and Galloway. Jedburgh to Dumfries is a squat stage at only 150km, and features rolling roads and dazzling landscapes. There’s ample of work for the contenders to do linking the finish and the start in Jedburgh, as the striking Borders landscape offers up two Cat.
But with the first gallop and KOM both coming within the first 20km the riders won’t have much time to take in the vista. With two initial cat and one second cat mount this may sound like a tough stage; but with these coming within the first half of the stage and with this level of ground in a relatively short stage, and another bunch sprint in Dumfries will be added.
