India will start their Super Eights stage of the ICC T20 World Cup by taking on one of the tough teams Australia in the second match of Group 2 on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Indian team’s remarkable win over England and Harbhajan Singh`s overwhelming return has made the spectators wonder what exactly will be a winning combination against George Bailey`s men who provided a brilliant play in both their group league matches against Ireland and West Indies respectively.
Indian sipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has clearly indicated that he would play with five specialist bowlers, which ultimately means that India will be short of a batsman. They have then no choice but to make either the opener Virender Sehwag or Yuvraj Singh to sit out of the match which Dhoni admitted would be a “tough decision”. Australia may face problems in testing their middle-order which hasn`t given any chance in the two matches which were single-handedly won by Watson. The all-rounder has taken full advantage of the Powerplay overs and made the bowlers suffered. With the company of Warner and Hussey, the `terrific trio` makes a superb top-order. Today`s match will be a battle between two bowling units where Indian spinners are pitted against Aussie pacers to see who comes out victorious. The likely Australian Line-up will include: George Bailey (c), Dan Christian, Pat Cummins, Xavier Doherty, Ben Hilfenhaus, Brad Hogg, David Hussey, Michael Hussey, Glenn Maxwell, Clint McKay, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Shane Watson, Cameron White.
