Caribbean T20 winners Trinidad & Tobago take on Yorkshire in the fourth match of the Karbonn Champions League Twenty20 2012 Qualifiers.

T&T, arguably the strongest team in the qualifying group, have their work cut out. A defeat will send them home after just one match and their stay in the tournament would end up being shorter than their flights. Trinidad & Tobago are without three of their star players (Narine, Pollard and Dwayne Bravo) who will be putting their feet up for a few days before turning out for IPL sides in the group stages of the tournament but they still have experienced T20 bowlers in Ravi Rampul and Samuel Badree and match-winning batsmen in Darren Bravo and big-hitting opener Lendl Simmons.

With West Indian cricket on a high after their surprise triumph in the T20 World Cup the ‘feel good’ factor could well seep through to the men from T&T. The probable T&T squad will include: D Ramdin*†, S Badree, AB Barath, DM Bravo, K Cooper, RR Emrit, ST Gabriel, S Ganga, E Lewis, JN Mohammed, KYG Ottley, WKD Perkins, R Rampaul, LMP Simmons, ND Stewart.

Yorkshire’s victory over Uva in their opening match of the Qualifying campaign has taken them one win away to qualifying for the CLT20 but they will need to beat Trinidad and Tobago to drive into the next stage. A loss would leave them waiting another day for their fate to be decided.

Yorkshire failed to get a good start of their match against Uva, who had a strong Powerplay against some wayward bowling that included seven wides. They got better with the ball as the innings went on and will hope to have settled and able to get off to a better side. With the bat, they are without David Miller; their match-winning against Uva, so one or more of the rest of the order needs to play the big innings, preferably one of the top order – captain Andrew Gale, Phil Jaques or Joe Root. The Likely Yorkshire’s line up will include: AW Gale*, MA Ashraf, Azeem Rafiq, GS Ballance, OJ Hannon-Dalby, DM Hodgson†, PA Jaques, A Lyth, DA Miller, SA Patterson, AU Rashid, JE Root, RJ Sidebottom, I Wardlaw, E Wilson†.
