Already out of the tournament, IPL heavyweights Chennai Super Kings would play for some pride and end their campaign on a positive note when they take on a not-so-tough Yorkshire in their final Group B match of the Champions League Twenty20 on Monday.
Both Chennai and fellow IPL side Mumbai Indians have crashed out of Champions League 2012 after Sydney Sixers and Highveld Lions qualified for the semi-finals from Group B. Chennai will be disappointed that they weren’t able to progress as they entered as one of the favorites in the tournament. But the spectators would be happy to see the MS Dhoni led team to grab a six-run victory over Mumbai in a sequential IPL derby. And they would be looking to carry their winning momentum with a success in their last appearance in this tournament as well. There has been a spread of the wickets taken by Chennai but Ben Hilfenhaus remains their best bowler of the tournament to date. The CSK probable squad will include: MS Dhoni (c), R Ashwin, Michael Hussey, Doug Bollinger, M Vijay, Faf du Plessis, Ben Hilfenhaus, Nuwan Kulasekara, Albie Morkel, Suresh Raina, Wriddhiman Saha, Ravindra Jadeja, Shadab Jakati, Yo Mahesh, S Badrinath.
Yorkshire have not been able to perform well to get close to the other teams in the group stage and were lucky to pick up 2 points against Mumbai due to the rain. Phil Jaques has managed to get the 20′s and 30′s this tournament but hasn’t been able to put them into bigger scores Yorkshire would like to go out of this tournament with a win. The likely Yorkshire lineup will include: Andrew Gale (c), Moin Ashraf, Azeem Rafiq, Gary Ballance, Oliver Hannon-Dalby, Dan Hodgson, Phil Jaques, Adam Lyth, David Miller, Steven Patterson, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Ryan Sidebottom, Iain Wardlaw, Eddie Wilson.
