On the Day 2 of the match, West Indies played an explosive inning and declared at a score of 527-4. Chanderpaul contributed with a double century while Ramdin made 126 and provide the tourists with an upper hand in the 1st ball six test match in the history of test cricket. West Indies didn’t lose a wicket with Denesh Ramdin making a hundred and putting on 296 with Chanderpaul. After Darren Sammy declared with Chanderpaul having equalled his highest Test score.
In response of this grand total, Bangladesh team remain unable to settle a long partnership and lost 3 wickets on 164 runs. However, Tamim Iqbal’s 72 runs put some momentum in the hosts’ chase for the 567 runs. In the beginning of Bangladesh innings, West Indies did lose their bearings for a bit, though, as Tamim, along with Shahriar Nafees briefly, entertained the sparse crowd with a thrill-a-minute show of unrestrained hitting. Tamim and Nafees both got out in playing aggressively, and it was down to Naeem Islam and Shakib Al Hasan to shut down the thrill store for the evening.
Islam and Hassan both are unbeaten at 27 and 16 respectively with their team trailing West Indies by 363 runs with 7 wickets in hand.
