New Zealand will once again take on the South Africa squad in their 2nd test clash at Port Elizabeth on Friday. It is around ten years for the skipper Graeme Smith at his position while Brendon McCullum is leading the team in only his second game for New Zealand. This gap of experience can be witnessed by the level of confidence in their squads.
South Africa will be looking to wrap up the series with 2-0 with their captain Smith in the hope for showing better performance than in the 1st test match. They have the top class batting lineup with the likes of Alviro Peterson, Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis and Dean Elgar. In the absence of Vernon Philander, Dale Steyn will be the key bowler to create danger fort the New Zealand batsman and will hope to pick up another bag full of wickets. New Zealand suffered a humiliating loss to South Africa in the 1st Test where by an innings and 27 runs. New Zealand cricket seems to be on the back foot and they need the enough courage and confidence to turn it around quickly and at least play a more competitive match in the 2nd Test. Martin Guptill will be the key batsman to give New Zealand a good start with the bat since he failed in both innings and it would release a lot of pressure off the middle order.
