On Thursday April 4th, 2013, The Qatar Grand Prix will be started at the Losail International Circuit. The 65th season of motorcycle Grand Prix racing event will be scheduled on Sunday April 7th 2013.
The Qatar Grand Prix is MotoGP’s only night-time event and its desert location give it a unique look to start the new seasonal event. The 55th anniversary of Honda in this season makes it more exceptional to watch. Last year Defending champion was Sandro Cortese and runner-up Luis Salom.
The world’s leading motorcycle manufacturer made its World Championship first appearance in June 1959 at the Isle of Man with good scoring at their start-up. From that point company didn’t look back as they still determined to achieve technical distinction.
The Qatar Grand Prix has another sole feature as it is the only MotoGP event that ended in four days, rather than three. This is because there are just five hours when dew didn’t reduce grip. Practice sessions start on Thursday and Friday, followed by qualifying on Saturday and racing from on Sunday. During the racing event the track is lightened by an incredible 5.4 million watt illumination system.
