On Day 2 of Djarum Indonesia Open 2013, Hong Kong’s lower ranked but talented shuttler Yip Pui Yin gave an exceptional performancel in the opening round and defeated Wang Yihan on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. This Women’s Singles match remained in full swing for 58 minutes in the local badminton complex of Jakarta as both contenders looked firm and produced the scores 12-21, 21-19 and 21-18.
Women’s Singles campaigner Belaetrix Manuputi of Indonesia alarmed all the contestants through giving a brilliant performance in the first round against an experienced Korean shuttler Sung Ji Hyun who kept her busy on court for 72 minutes and produced the final figures of 16-21, 21-16 and 21-19.
Mixed Doubles partners Robert Mateusiak and Nadiezda Zieba of Poland forged a fruitful chemistry and cleared first round against the twosome of Danny Bawa Chrisnanta and Yu Yan Vanessa Neo for a meeting of 34 minutes with the end result of 21-18 and 21-18.
