Australia and England will face each other in their 1st test clash at Nottingham.
England and Australia are the biggest rivals in World Cricket and now they will face off to play for the Ashes urn. There has been so much history and plenty of world class cricket between these two teams but time never remains the same especially for Australia with major stars retiring from the game. Shane Watson is back at the top of the order where he most enjoys batting and Australia hopes he can continue his fantastic form from the tour matches. The probable Australian squad will include: 1 Shane Watson, 2 Chris Rogers, 3 Ed Cowan, 4 Michael Clarke (capt), 5 Phillip Hughes, 6 David Warner, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Starc, 9 Peter Siddle, 10 James Pattinson, 11 Nathan Lyon.
The good news for England is that their key player Kevin Pietersen is back after missing their three-Test series against New Zealand due to a knee injury. It would be exciting to watch James Anderson playing in this long series as he will be required to perform well for England as he has always been successful against the Aussies. The likely English lineup will include: 1 Alastair Cook (capt), 2 Joe Root, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Ian Bell, 6 Jonny Bairstow, 7 Matt Prior (wk), 8 Tim Bresnan, 9 Stuart Broad, 10 Graeme Swann, 11 James Anderson.
