After a surprisingly convincing victory in the opening ODI, Zimbabwe will take on Pakistan in the 2nd ODI match in Harare Sports Club, Harare on Thursday.

After a stunning performance in the first ODI of the series, Zimbabwe have the opportunity to make history by winning their first bilateral ODI series in 12 years if they are able to upset the visitors once more. The 1st ODI was also the first time in 15 years Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe but for the first time in a very long time almost every batsman contributed well to the total. It was Hamilton Masakadaza who guided the Zimbabwe team to victory in the 1st ODI and it was nice to see the big man return to the top scorers list for Zimbabwe. The probable Zimbabwean squad will include: 1 Vusi Sibanda, 2 Hamilton Masakadza, 3 Brendan Taylor (capt & wk), 4 Timycen Maruma , 5 Malcolm Waller, 6 Sean Williams, 7 Elton Chigumbura, 8 Tendai Chatara, 9 Prosper Utseya, 10 Brian Vitori, 11 Tinashe Panyangara.

Pakistan’s opening bowlers need to do a much better job in the 2nd ODI to avoid an embarrassing series loss against Zimbabwe and will need to ensure they take early wickets. Despite remarkable individual contribution of 83 from skipper Misbah ul Haq and 70 from Mohammad Hafeez, the middle-order batting collapse cost them the match. On the bowling front, Ajmal took two wickets while Junaid Khan took one only which made them to suffer the loss. The likely Pakistani lineup will include: 1 Nasir Jamshed, 2 Ahmed Shehzad, 3 Mohammad Hafeez, 4 Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), 5 Umar Amin, 6 Shahid Afridi, 7 Haris Sohail/Abdur Rehman, 8 Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), 9 Saeed Ajmal, 10 Junaid Khan, 11 Mohammad Irfan.
