The US Open Championships 2013 matches got underway on Tuesday September 3rd 2013, at the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

On Day eight, shock of the day as Roger Federer faced-off from the quarterfinals at the 2013 U.S. Open. He was upset by Tommy Robredo in the fourth round on Monday in three straight sets at Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Rafael Nadal reached the quarterfinals by defeating Germany’s Philipp Kohlschreiber in four sets. Nadal got the US Open sole title in 2010, however, he was the runner up in 2011.
