England and Australia will face each other in the fourth One Day International at Cardiff on Saturday.
The hosts will be playing in the absence of their skipper Alastair Cook, who has been rested for the ongoing ODI series after the Three Lions enjoyed a good run during the 2013 Investec Ashes series, where they swept to a 3-0 win over Michael Clarke’s men. Only two games left for the hosts to show some sort of fight back and win the series for their country. If losing out on the senior players wasn’t bad enough, the weather has not been too kind on them either. The probable English lineup will include: Michael Carberry, Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott, Eoin Morgan (capt), Joe Root, Ravi Bopara, Jos Buttler (wk), Ben Stokes, James Tredwell, Boyd Rankin, Steven Finn.
However, Australia have enjoyed the upper hand in ODIs after two games have been washed out due to bad weather. In the current match, Michael Clarke’s men are again regarded as favourites. Australia still lead by a game and a victory in this fourth ODI to played in Cardiff will seal the series for them. The way they were going in the third ODI before the rain came down, it did look like they were a team possessed, led by a strong bowling performance from Mitchell Johnson. The likely Australian squad will include: Aaron Finch, Shaun Marsh, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke (capt), George Bailey, Adam Voges, Matthew Wade (wk),James Faulkner, Mitchell Johnson, Clint McKay, Fawad Ahmed.
