After having a terrible experience of ODI series, Pakistan will face South Africa in the opening T20 match of the two match series at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Wednesday.

Pakistan are currently ranked second in the world and have won each of their previous two T20 series 2-0 away from “home” against Zimbabwe in August and West Indies last July. Pakistan also have the upper hand over the tourists as they have 4-3 win-loss record against South Africa out of seven T20 matches played so far. The likely Pakistani lineup will include: Mohammad Hafeez (captain), Umar Akmal, Umar Amin, Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir Jamshed, Shahid Afridi, Sohaib Maqsood, Sohail Tanvir, Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik.

On the other hand, South Africa were last involved in international T20 cricket three months ago and also stood victorious as they overcame Sri Lanka 2-1 on their travels to leave the Proteas in fifth place in the world rankings. Faf du Plessis will lead South African side in Twenty20 matches. South Africa definitely look a better side with right mix of batsmen and bowlers. The probable South African squad will include: Faf du Plessis (captain), Quinton de Kock, Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, Morne Morkel, Dale Steyn, Ryan McLaren, David Miller, Wayne Parnell, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Henry Davids, Aaron Phangiso, David Wiese.
