South Africa will host another Asian team India in the 1st ODI match of three ODI-series at Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg on Thursday.

While the Indian team will be high on confidence after winning six ODI titles this year. Their team is full of capable and inform batsmen who are performing consistently from a long period. Indian skipper MS Dhoni is much confident of his team’s capability of winning this series. The probable Indian squad will include: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (c & wk), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Amit Mishra, Ajinkya Rahane.

On the other hand, the Proteas had recently lost a three-match ODI series against Pakistan on their home soil. Now, they would be looking to get back in winning momentum with this series. However, their most obvious weakness is their inconsistent batting line that suffered many blows against Pakistani bowling attacks at several times. Even, they gained some confidence from the UAE ODI series against Pakistan, still the recent losses against the same team may impose some pressure on them as this time a totally different side is in front of them. The likely South African lineup will include: AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, Jacques Kallis, Ryan McLaren, David Miller, Morne Morkel, Wayne Parnell, Vernon Philander, Graeme Smith, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
