The Dakar Rally, a MotoGP World Championship has been continued on Friday January 10th 2014, in the host city of Rosario, Argentina. In 2014 Dakar Rally stage 5 starts from Cilecito to Tucamánon Friday.
On Thursday an unfortunate incident did take place as Belgian motorcycle rider Eric Palante has died at the Dakar Rally.
The organizers went out searching for the 50-year-old Palante after he failed to finish the fifth stage, that been completed on Thursday by most of the riders, while on Friday crew found his body along the route.
This was Palante’s 11th Dakar Rally, while he would have turned 51 on Jan. 21st, 2014. He said that his goal was to win the amateur trophy for motorbikes.
