On Thursday January 9th, 2014 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Hamilton Police were called to an apartment building on King Street in the east end of the city. A 57-year-old male party was found deceased inside the apartment. Due to the suspicious nature of the scene the Homicide Unit was called in. The Coroner’s office also responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. Police have questioned several residents of the apartment building and will continue the investigation today. The scene will be held pending the results of the autopsy.
An autopsy has been scheduled for this morning in order to determine a cause of death.
The next of kin have been notified however the identity of the Hamilton resident will be withheld pending the result of the autopsy.
